Scoop: Nvidia Quietly Invested $196 Million in Revolut, UK Filings Reveal

LONDON — Nvidia’s venture capital arm, NVentures, quietly invested an estimated $196 million in British fintech giant Revolut, according to newly filed documents with the UK’s Companies House.

The investment had not previously been disclosed by either company. However, a confirmation statement filed with Companies House lists an entity believed to be NVentures LLC as holding 141,834 shares in Revolut. Based on the share price from the company’s latest funding round, the stake is valued at approximately $195.9 million.

The filing provides the clearest indication yet of Nvidia’s financial backing of one of Europe’s most valuable fintech companies.

Neither Nvidia nor Revolut has publicly commented on the size of the investment or confirmed the exact value of the stake.

The investment highlights Nvidia’s growing interest beyond artificial intelligence infrastructure and into high-growth technology companies. Through NVentures, the chipmaker has expanded its portfolio by investing in startups across AI, cloud computing, healthcare, robotics, and enterprise software.

For Revolut, the backing adds another high-profile investor to its shareholder base as the digital banking company continues its global expansion. Founded in 2015, Revolut has grown from a foreign exchange app into a full-scale financial platform offering banking, payments, investments, cryptocurrency trading, savings products, and business financial services.

The company now serves tens of millions of customers across multiple markets and has continued to expand its product offerings while pursuing growth in Europe, North America, Asia, and Latin America.

Nvidia’s investment also reflects increasing convergence between artificial intelligence and financial technology. As fintech companies adopt AI for fraud detection, customer support, compliance, credit analysis, and personalized financial services, strategic investments from leading AI companies are becoming more common.

The Companies House filing does not specify when the shares were acquired, but the disclosed holding appears to be linked to Revolut’s most recent funding round, which valued the company at more than $45 billion.

Industry analysts view the investment as another signal that Nvidia is using its venture arm to strengthen relationships with fast-growing technology companies that could become significant users of AI infrastructure in the future.

While the financial commitment represents a small portion of Nvidia’s overall investment activities, it underscores the company’s strategy of supporting businesses operating at the intersection of software, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation.

The filing offers a rare glimpse into the ownership structure of one of Europe’s largest private fintech companies, revealing a previously undisclosed investment that further strengthens Revolut’s position among the continent’s best-funded technology firms.
